"Liverpool, European Capital of Culture 2008" - Fourteen Images created by Anis Hamadeh, a freelance artist and copywriter from Germany who studied Islamic Studies and Linguistics and who enjoys his Liverpool stays. All pictures - among them Otterspool, Pier Head, Albert Dock, Three Graces, Prince's Park Gates, Canning Street, Chinese Gate, and Mount Street - can be viewed at www.anis-online.de. It was Waltraud Boxall, Charles Matthews and Felicity Wren who brought Anis to Liverpool. In 2008, he exhibited some of his works in the Domino Gallery and gave a small concert and reading in the View Two Gallery (find photos, Metro interview and Anis' Liverpool Blog online). Since October 2009, the colourful Liverpool pictures are out, as a set of art postcards and as A3 posters. The images were created with felt pens, Copic markers. Anis is grateful for the feedback. (English, August 16, 2008) Liverpool is European Capital of Culture in 2008, see for example www.liverpoolculture.com. I visited the city in December/January with an exhibition of the "Before Their Diaspora" pictures and with a concert and reading in the View Two Gallery. I kept an illustrated online diary then, the Liverpool Blog. On it you can see some of the photos I made with Charles' camera. Right now I am working on a set of 14 Liverpool pictures, done in the same technique as the "Before Their Diaspora" pictures. I am not sure if I can finish them until the end of the year, but the first two pieces are finished and you can click on the small pictures above to see them. Ich besuchte die Stadt im Dezember/Januar mit einer Ausstellung der "Before Their Diaspora"-Bilder und mit einem Konzert mit Lesung in der View Two Gallery. Zu dieser Zeit führte ich ein Online-Tagebuch, den Liverpool Blog. Darauf sieht man auch einige der Fotos, die ich mit Charles' Kamera gemacht habe. (English) Last week, photographer and filmmaker Jürgen Kircher visited me with his camera, lamps and some huge light objects the name of which I have forgotten and he took some pictures. Jürgen is not only a professional camera man, he specialized in HDR/DRI technology and creates vivid images with a touch of 3D. He takes 8-15 photos of an object with changing light situations. Then he transfers all the light effects into one picture. It is a very sophisticated and time consuming method, but the photos are special. Here you can see some examples: www.fachfotograf.de/index.php?id=772. I met Jürgen at the Frankfurt Bookfair last year, because we have the same publishing house. It is an honor for me that Jürgen Kircher took these photos and modified them in this way.
(Deutsch) Letzte Woche besuchte mich der Fotograf und Filmemacher Jürgen Kircher mit seiner Kamera, Lampen und einigen riesigen leichten Objekten, deren Namen ich vergessen habe. Jürgen ist nicht nur ein professioneller Kameramann, er hat sich auf HDR/DRI-Technik spezialisiert und schafft damit lebendige Bilder mit einem Hauch von 3D-Effekt. Er nimmt 8-15 Bilder eines Objekts auf, mit wechselnden Lichtverhältnissen. Dann übernimmt er alle Lichteffekte in ein einziges Bild.
